About David
My teaching methodology consists of a practical deepening of the guitar in which I focus on unlocking the instrument in the eyes of those who are starting, also deepening with music theory. Translating: My focus is to minimize the time it takes to look at the neck of a guitar and to understand how it is approached to produce / play what goes on in your head / ears.

Hello! My name is David Sousa and I started my journey in music in 2006-2007. Initially what I fell in love with, in addition to my favorite bands, was being able, one day, to perform in the same way the sounds I heard from the songs that most touched me. I wanted to start with the drums but due to life circumstances I ended up learning the guitar. Interestingly, a relative close to me started at the same time to learn to play the drums. Instrument that I also play, with immense passion, but less mastery than the guitar. I studied only 2 years in music schools, the most recent in a Jazz school. Until then my experience was based a lot on Metal, Rock, Blues. From then on, my interest in Jazz, musical and even rhythmic constructions grew more and more. I feel a growing interest that will never stop growing from learning more and more. Not only on the guitar but also as a music producer, as a drummer / percussionist, as a bass player, as a keyboard player and even on wind instruments, like the didgiridoo. In conclusion, the baggage I bring comes not only from the learning I had with the guitar and music theory, but from the experience of drums, keys and even didgiridoo. The musical area in which I feel most comfortable teaching will undoubtedly be Metal, Rock, Blues, but also theory within Jazz, electronic music, ambient music, psychedelic music, etc.
