About Adam
I attained a first class master's degree in Physics from The University of Strathclyde and subsequently worked professionally as a nuclear safety and fire engineer for 8 years. During university I established an undergraduate drop-in group to facilitate the development of undergraduate students in their junior years. I have tutored maths and physics throughout my time as a student and throughout my professional career.

I have mentored and tutored students and young engineers from national 4 - graduate level in Physics, maths and engineering skills. I approach lessons with an adaptive methodology, teaching by analogy and infusing student's interest with the subject. I attempt to humanise the subject by relating the principles to familiar applications (sport, energy production, construction etc.) I have found through experience that students respond to a variety of learning tools and that establishing the most responsive tools early is key to success.
