About Joanna
I’ve been tutoring for 15 years, working with students facing a variety of educational challenges and a range of special educational needs. I’ve also run drama schools and theatre workshops. I’m a former actor who worked as a director on the London theatre scene. I love working with young people and helping them achieve the grades they need.

My approach is to tailor my lessons to suit the needs of my individual students. I’ve learnt to adapt my methods to best accommodate how my students learn. A standard lesson starts with a clear learning objective for the session - whether that be to address a new topic or refresh a skill. We then go through a range of activities to reinforce or introduce the objective, before the student has a chance to practice or demonstrate their understanding of the objective. I specialize in English from early years to A Level, Drama to A Level, History, Maths and Science to KS3.
