About Beth
Hi! I'm Beth and I have been studying sociology for around 8 years now. My teaching philosophy aims to improve student performance by offering enjoyable, relaxed and tailored lessons. I have a GCSE ,an A-level and a bachelors degree in sociology. I am so passionate about sociology and really enjoy teaching and learning about it.
I am calm, patient and understanding of everyone and their needs. I feel so strongly about the fight for equality, such as women's, LGBTQIA+, and those with a disability rights. I believe that not everyone is able to thrive in a classroom setting and we should be looking at new ways to educate tailored to students needs. My teaching style emphasises the need to be friendly and supportive and to build a relationship with students. I also favour an interactive approach which recognises that learning needs to generate enthusiasm and engagement as well as academic progress.
