About Kate
Over the last 7 years I have been performing on piano, guitar and banjo in various bands, specialising in classical, pop, jazz, folk and world music. I have experience leading ensemble, workshops and one-to-one lessons in multiple genres. I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first class BMus degree in 2019 and have a Grade 8 Distinction in piano.

I love teaching beginner through to experienced students and always dedicate time to assessing what level students are at. Alongside general technical requirements I like to tailor lessons to the aspirations of the student - whether they want to achieve a grade, learn they're favourite pop song or become a composer on their instrument. I often provide original materials to help further students abilities, but students are encouraged to bring their own ideas to the lesson too.
