About Mary
I believe that Music is the perfect medium through which many valuable life lessons can be imparted to others such as perseverance, self-confidence, teamwork, critical thinking, goal setting and accomplishment, personal responsibility, leadership and work ethic/discipline. Through my personalized student-centered teaching model I aim to maximize the learning abilities of each of my students and provide opportunities for growth through performances in the community.

My mission:
To educate, empower and inspire students to achieve their full musical potential and provide them the skills for lifelong engagement with music.
Background:
I am passionate about bringing out the best in my students, with over 20 years of experience as a music educator having worked extensively with children and adults of all ages. I have attained an AMEB ATMusA qualification and have a background in Occupational Therapy with a postgraduate Masters
degree.
I am a firm believer that building confidence in my students and instilling a sense of self-belief is
the key ingredient to succeeding in all areas of life. My strength in holistic assessments and interventions,
strong interpersonal skills and effective problem solving have solidly equipped me to develop and run music
programs that accelerate student’s learning and brain development.

Perfect! Great combination of theory and analysis of the piece. Mary was also patient and explained how to express the piece as intended in the score.
