About Raimonda
I am originally from Lithuania, but been living in London for the past 14 years. Back home, I have attended a 7-year music school which included modules of Choral conducting, Solfeggio (music rhythmic, chord combinations; chord alterations; basic composing structures), piano as the main instrument, music theory (history and deeper understanding of classical composers), choir and singing. I have graduated with honours and my Grade equates to level 8ABRSM. Been practising piano for over 25 years. Besides piano, I also do teach guitar for beginners, for which I have 10+ years experience. I am confident to teach students up to intermediate level and get them up to speed to be confident with most sheet music.

My focus is always to find the best, individual way for the child to learn and develop piano skills. Everyone is different, so the process has to be adapted to each child in a way it's most suitable for him/her. Usually, the length of a lesson I suggest is 30min, so that the child stays concentrated during the lesson. I also do the lessons in person only at your own place so having your own keyboard is essential. Over the years of experience, I find it that this way is more comfortable for the student to learn the new skill in their own environment. In my lessons, I do combine the technical aspects, such as posture, finger strength, movements and articulation, rhythmic, chord combinations and alterations together with developing a deeper understanding of the classical composers. I gradually introduce the student to the classical pieces as well as the songs of their choice, as I find it that a child is learning quicker when playing the sheet music that they like/prefer.
