About Hannah
Hello, I’m Hannah, an experienced primary school teacher with almost 10 years of teaching experience across KS1 and KS2. I currently teach Year 6 full-time and absolutely love helping children grow in confidence, enjoy learning and feel proud of what they can achieve.
I tutor all primary subjects and specialise in KS2 SATs preparation, Year 1 Phonics and 11+ support. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of children, including those needing extra catch-up support, children with SEND and pupils with EAL. I understand that every child learns differently, so I always adapt my teaching to suit each child’s individual needs, strengths and personality.
My approach is calm, patient and encouraging. I aim to create a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence step by step. I know that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when children lose confidence in themselves, so I focus on making lessons engaging, supportive and enjoyable.
Whether your child needs help strengthening core skills, preparing for assessments or simply becoming more confident in their learning, I work closely with families to help children make meaningful progress while enjoying the process along the way.

As an experienced primary school teacher with almost 10 years of classroom and tutoring experience, I provide personalised, child-centred lessons designed to build confidence, strengthen core skills and help every child reach their full potential. I teach all primary subjects across KS1 and KS2, with particular expertise in KS2 SATs preparation, Year 1 Phonics and 11+ support.
I am currently teaching Year 6 full-time, giving me up-to-date knowledge of the primary curriculum, SATs expectations and effective strategies for supporting children in the transition to secondary school.
My teaching approach focuses on identifying gaps in understanding and creating targeted interventions that allow children to make steady, meaningful progress. I believe children learn best when they feel supported, encouraged and successful, so I aim to make lessons engaging, positive and tailored to each learner’s individual needs and learning style.
I have extensive experience delivering KS2 post-Covid catch-up interventions within schools, supporting pupils to rebuild confidence and accelerate progress in English and Maths. My lessons are carefully structured while remaining flexible and responsive to each child’s pace and needs.
Lessons are typically one hour long and are taught online or in person depending on location. I work with primary-aged children across KS1 and KS2, including pupils preparing for SATs, Phonics Screening Checks and 11+ entrance examinations.
Alongside my teaching experience, I hold a BA in English Literature, a PGCE with a specialism in Children’s Literature, and a Master’s degree in Education from Finland, where I developed a deeper understanding of inclusive, research-informed teaching practices.
