About Kiera
I have always been passionate about working with children and helping them grow in confidence and ability. After qualifying as a primary school teacher, I spent the past four years teaching in a UK primary school.
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me has always been seeing children develop confidence in themselves and begin to enjoy learning. I particularly enjoy helping children who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of their abilities, and supporting them in making steady progress in a calm and encouraging environment.
Alongside classroom teaching, I have also tutored children privately, supporting them with reading, maths, phonics, homework, and general confidence-building. I am now looking to support another family through online tutoring on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings.

My lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. As a qualified primary teacher with recent classroom experience, I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to suit their ability, interests, and pace of learning.
Sessions are carefully planned to build confidence alongside academic progress. Whether your child needs support with phonics, reading, writing, maths, SATs preparation, or general homework help, I provide clear explanations, structured practice, and positive encouragement throughout.
I aim to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, developing independence, and growing in confidence.
