About Cindy
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with QTS and two years of teaching experience across Key Stages 1 and 2. I have successfully completed my Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction and have experience teaching children across Years 1, 3, 4 and 6.
Alongside my classroom experience, I have worked as a tutor supporting pupils in both primary and secondary education. I have also supported learners with different abilities and needs, including EAL and SEN pupils, allowing me to adapt my teaching to suit each individual learner.
I am passionate about helping children build both their academic knowledge and their confidence. My lessons are friendly, encouraging and well structured, while maintaining high expectations. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills.
Whether your child needs additional support with the primary curriculum, wants to strengthen their English or maths skills, or would benefit from developing their confidence and independence, I will tailor lessons to their individual needs and learning goals.

I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with QTS and two years of classroom teaching experience across Key Stages 1 and 2. I have successfully completed my Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction and also have previous tutoring experience with pupils in Years 5 and 6 and secondary students in Years 10 and 11.
My approach to tutoring is centred around making lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each learner. I begin by identifying a pupil's current understanding, strengths and areas for development, then adapt my explanations, questioning and activities accordingly. I use a range of techniques including visual aids, practical resources, modelling, stem sentences, questioning and regular assessment to check understanding and address misconceptions.
I place a strong emphasis on building confidence and encouraging pupils to become independent learners. For EAL learners in particular, I provide opportunities to develop vocabulary, communication and full-sentence responses, while using appropriate scaffolding to make learning accessible. I also have extensive experience supporting pupils with SEN and adapting resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
Lessons are typically 30–60 minutes, depending on the learner's age, level and individual needs. I aim to create a positive learning environment where pupils feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.
I am happy to support learners from early years through to Key Stage 2, including English, phonics, reading, mathematics and general primary curriculum support, as well as EAL learners looking to develop their English language and speaking confidence.
