About Mahek
I have always been interested in people. Their personalities, choices, relationships, emotions, and the many ways they make sense of the world. Psychology gave me a way to explore all of that, and teaching gave me a reason to keep exploring it.
Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate that the best Psychology discussions aren’t always the ones with one perfect answer. Sometimes they start with a simple question and lead somewhere completely unexpected. That is the kind of curiosity I bring into my lessons.
Beyond Psychology, I enjoy traveling, history, music, art, reading, and trying new things. I’m looking forward to getting to know my students and exploring Psychology from their perspective too.

My teaching approach is structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s level and goals. I focus on helping students understand and apply Psychology rather than simply memorizing concepts. I begin by understanding the student’s existing knowledge and learning needs, then explain concepts through clear explanations, real-life examples, diagrams, discussions, and practical applications.
I encourage questions and help students apply what they learn, then briefly review the key concepts at the end of each lesson. For Statistics and research methods, I use step-by-step explanations and guided practice, while for exams and assignments, I provide focused academic support.
My university teaching experience, combined with practical exposure to counseling and psychological assessment, lets me connect academic psychology to relevant real-world examples. The classes are for students in Grades 9–12, college and university students, and adults.
