About Refilwe
Hello and welcome!
My name is Refilwe, and I am a qualified educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a TEFL certificate. I am passionate about helping learners build confidence and achieve real progress in English, whether they are improving their speaking, writing, reading, or overall communication skills.
I bring a professional, patient, and supportive approach to every lesson. My teaching style is student-centered, which means I adapt each lesson to suit the learner’s individual needs, pace, and goals. I believe that learning is most effective when students feel comfortable, encouraged, and actively involved, so I create a positive environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are seen as part of the learning process.
My lessons are structured, engaging, and practical. A typical session includes interactive speaking practice, focused language activities, and clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary, followed by guided practice to reinforce understanding. I also provide feedback throughout the lesson to help students improve continuously and gain confidence step by step.
I work with learners of all ages, from beginner to intermediate levels, including school learners, adults, and professionals who want to improve their English for academic, work, or everyday communication purposes. I also support students with homework assistance, test preparation, and developing stronger fluency and pronunciation.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, supportive, and goal-driven. I am proficient in English and teach primarily in English to support language immersion and fluency development. Where necessary, I also use simple explanations and scaffolding techniques to ensure full understanding, especially for beginner and elementary learners.
