About Catherine
Having started learning the violin at the age of five, I continued on to study a Bachelor of Music majoring in Violin at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. Since then, I has taught privately to students as young as 4 to over 40.
Wanting to add some fresh ideas into my teaching style, I returned to the Conservatorium in 2011, graduating with a Graduate Certificate in Music - (String) Pedagogy.
I am a Professional member of Music Teachers' Association of Queensland and Australian Strings Association.

Hi, I'm and experienced and qualified violin and music theory teacher. I am friendly and patient and provide a nurturing environment for my pupils. I regularly prepare students for performances, auditions and exams, and also teach students who want none of these! Lessons available for all ages from beginners up, both in-person and online!
