About Karolina
I am an experienced teacher (QTS) and private tutor. To date, I have been mostly based in pre-preparatory and preparatory schools in West London where I worked as an SEN lead, as well as, a whole class teacher. Those posts required a lot of flexibility, therefore, not only did I teach English, Maths or Music, but also Humanities, RE, Art and Design, Understanding the World, as well as Science. I am currently self-employed, working with a variety of private students of various ages, both face to face and online. My scope of work includes delivering English and Maths lessons, geared towards specific entry or final exams (from 7+ onwards), as well as, skill development. Moreover, I specialise in EAL support and Music (piano and singing tuition). The areas of needs I have overseen have been varied – from students with EHCPs to those very gifted, requiring skill boosters (in preparation for their school admission exams). This has taught me how to respond to diverse learning needs and expectations. I always aim at helping my students reach their potential. There may be an abundance of methods instructing one how to teach. However, I believe that the approach should always remain individual, and it should be based on the relationship established with the student. The rapport that I have built with my students over the years is one of the major reasons behind our mutual success.

Karolina helped to prepare my son for his 7+ entrance exams.
He loves Maths but is not particularly fond of English, which led to him struggling with any exam related tasks in the subject - reading comprehension in particular.
Karolina was recommended to me by a friend whose children had successfully seen through similar exams with her.
I am not surprised why - she's always extremely well prepared for the lessons. She understood how to approach my rather reluctant son and provided him with various activities that never made the lessons boring. Over the course of his time with her, he started to feel more confident in his English skills and looking forward to the lessons.
It might not have become his favourite subject but but he passed his 7+ and got into our chosen school.
