Experienced science and maths tutor for KS2, KS3, GCSE and A level!

After the last few sessions it was clear that Alfie is really good at grasping the core mathematical concepts but often is let down by misunderstanding the question. So for the first part of the lesson we practiced interpreting questions carefully. Alfie did really well going through past paper questions and improved at catching himself going down wrong rabbit holes. We identified harder probability questions as an area to work on, so we practiced that together for the remainder of the sessions. He really improved applying probability technique to harder situations. Next week we will go through topics that Alfie lost marks on during his last mock exam, starting with fractions as a percentage
and pie charts. I have encouraged Alfie to bring topics to the sessions if he wants - we can be flexible with what we do.
