About Joshua
I’m a Mechanical Design Engineer working in both teaching and research at a leading UK university. I’m a Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) with years of experience supporting engineering students, researchers, and professionals in developing their CAD and design skills. Before moving into academia, I spent over five years as a CNC machinist and programmer, which gave me a strong foundation in Design for Manufacture (DFM) and real-world engineering applications. I’ve worked across mechanical, prototyping, and CAM-based projects, and I bring that hands-on knowledge into every lesson. I’ve taught SolidWorks to many students over the years and focus on clear explanations, industry best practices, and adapting to your learning pace—whether you’re preparing for an exam, working on a university assignment, or developing your professional skills.
