About Katie
I have been writing songs ever since i was young and professionally for the last four years. I believe the art is something that anyone can practice and learn! A songwriter and experienced singer of over 10 years recently Graduating From the institute Of contemporary music performance with a high first in songwriting, I have gained notable experience writing with and for many artists. Some of these artists have gone on to gain record and publishing deals whilst many choose to be independent and self release. I have written with the likes of Gerard O'Connell (Dua Lipa), Lisa Canny, Prscilla Renne, Richard Fiarley, Dodie Clark, Aaron Porter,Michael Askew (Island club), Lucy Whittaker, Gerard O’Connell, Adj Buffone (vicii, Raye, Kiko Bun and Tom Grennan, JP Cooper) and many more independent/ up and coming artists.

My teaching method is creative and bespoke. It is a relaxed environment and should feel more like a real live songwritng session that you would expect to experience within the industry. I base my lessons off of all the things i learned as a songwriting student myself. From structure to intent to how to get those creative juices flowing, You will learn everything from style and genre to recording and performance. From lyric and melody to workshop practice. Each week you will bring in a new song to a brief and we will work on your writing approach to help you write music that most importantly of all, you are proud of.
