About Devyn
I recently left my life in Houston,Texas to follow my dreams of traveling the world. During my travels I will be sharing my experience with children in different school settings. Education is a major part of my life. So much so that I have been asked to help start two private schools for children with learning differences, while also serving on the board of one of those schools. I started my career as a teaching assistant and grew quickly from there. I have experience as a co teacher, interventionist (helping students in different areas of struggle with 1-1 meetings during school hours), substitute, tutor for topics ranging from homework help to test prep to writing workshops and so on. I believe my easy going and warm nature allows me to connect and help others in a very reaffirming way.

Education is not one size fits all and a one size fits all approach is not what you will get from me. With over 9 years of experience helping children with learning differences and tailoring academic lessons to specific needs, I am confident I’m the tutor for you. I have worked with a range of students over the years and I have found one thing to be consistent. Building confidence in ones abilities not only focuses on their strengths, but finding the way that learning “clicks” for them. I have had the pleasure of being trained in some of the top reading programs in the U.S and receiving hands on experience teaching one uniform lesson to a class of mixed ability learners while also catering to their academic needs individually.
