About Marie

I have been teaching English for over 5 years now, even though this is the first time I have decided to give it a go in Ile de France since I moved in.

During those five years, I had the chance to train 6 students, including two adults, for their competitive exams (both of which, by the way, were successful).

All my pupils were considered mediocre by their professors, with scores well below average, and they all managed to increase their level to above-average scores, and to maintain themselves there. Their scores now range from 11/20 to 16/20, on average.

About the lesson

As a law student passionate about English since I was a very young child, I studied this language at university and improved it during my travels in England.

After several years of tutoring, I realized that my students' biggest problems were the school methods used to teach English. I therefore decided to use different methods, adapted to each one and based exclusively on my students' facilities and aptitudes, and their centers of interest, to make English more interactive, lively and interesting for them.

Therefore, I always organize a "test session", during which I meet my student, talk with them about their interests, their difficulties and their strengths. After which, I organize an individualized work program, enabling me to concentrate on their weaknesses while improving their strengths. Of course, this program will evolve over the course of our courses.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to address them.
