About Emily
I am a native English speaker with a British accent specialising in creative, personalised English lessons which draw on art, literature, music and film. I studied Education with English Literature at the University of Cambridge, and went on to complete a PGCE in Primary Education. I am fully TEFL qualified and have been teaching English for over a year, seeing fantastic improvements in my students' speaking abilities due to my innovative approach.

I thoroughly assess my students' needs before planning a personalised series of lessons to help them reach specific language goals. I don't use coursebooks in my lessons, instead curating and crafting my lessons to match the needs and interests of the student. I use art, literature, music and film as the basis of my vocabulary, grammar and speaking lessons, meaning that learning is enjoyable, stimulating and rigorous, producing noticeable improvements in speaking ability in only a few lessons.
