About Andrea
I have acquired a PhD in Classics at the University of Leeds (Russell Group). I have obtained BA and MA Philosophy degrees at the University of Verona, Italy. My academic formation includes history and ancient languages.
I have worked as a teaching assistant at university since 2013 and as cover supervisor and teacher in schools, both primary and secondary, since 2019.
I have led a mentoring group for talented students at the University of Leeds (2015-17) and I have worked as private tutor since 2005, both in Italy and in the UK.
I have published an article on comparative mythology and philosophy and worked as translator on several books on mythology. My expertise includes academic editing and proofreading.

Having taught since 2013, with tutoring experience since 2005, I provide expert support to students of all ages who wish to improve their academic skills in the humanities.
My areas of expertise are History, Philosophy, and Classics (Latin and Greek).
My teaching is always based on the specific learning skills of my students. I privilege inquiry-based and visual learning,, with effective study-maps, planning, thinking aids, mock-tests, and personalised exercises. I design my lessons to be rigorous but stimulating.
