About Cari
For many years I homeschooled my children with various programs to make sure each one could learn how they were best able. The one common factor I found for all of them was that they needed my one-on-one attention and instructional help when they didn’t understand particular subject matter.
This realization led me to continue tutoring privately and then also employed as a public school special education instructor for smaller groups or individual students for specific areas.
Seeing the light bulb moments in the students when teaching, trying different methods or explanations so that they could understand the material, and giving them space to learn and practice at their own pace was truly rewarding.

Education is never “one size fits all” as every person learns differently and at a different pace. With group instruction, a student may feel left behind just by missing one area or point in the class. Receiving personalized help where a student can freely ask a question and spend as much time as needed on any specific area until they feel fully confident in their understanding gives them the boost they need to excel.
One on one, individual paced learning, and freedom to ask questions is a gift that only tutoring can give.
