About Amanda
Amanda, originally from Pennsylvania, lives in Chesapeake with her husband of 13 years and her two sons. She has her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, and will tell anyone who will listen how much she loves accounting and has a true passion for what she does. “I am one of the lucky ones who truly loves her career, and I can’t see myself doing anything else!”
Amanda began her accounting career with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as a tax specialist working with Personal Income Tax as well as a variety of business taxes including sales tax and employer withholding tax. With 9 years of working in the public sector under her belt, she crossed over into the private sector to work as an Accounting Supervisor for a local small business. After enjoying small business accounting for just over a year, Amanda decided to try corporate accounting where she got extensive experience working with fixed assets, foreign currency conversions, and SEC filing requirements for publicly traded companies. Just short of her 4-year anniversary, Amanda decided to break out on her own hoping to continue to grow her career while also being able to spend time with her growing family. Fast forward to summer of 2020, Amanda met Gary after reading an incredibly witty ad for an accounting assistant where they shared their love of small business accounting and working with business owners to help them grown and manage their businesses.
