About Dana

My Name is Dana Allen. I am offering group guitar lessons at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Students will Learn the connection between Christian Contemporary Music and the guitar. The student will also learn basic music theory, hand positions, basic chords, strumming patterns and sight reading.

A number of friends and people from my church asked if I would teach them.

I Have taken basic and classical guitar at Mott Community College and also private lessons. I was in a Christian band for 15 years. I now lead worship services and am the director of a contemporary ensemble at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Burton MI.

About the lesson

All new students will e given a questionnaire with questions like;

Have you ever played an instrument? Do you read music? What type of music do you like? Etc...

I have worked with people that had no prior music lessons to others that played different instruments than the guitar and just wanted to learn guitar.

You have to have a passsion for playing any instrument. Lessons will set you on the right path, but hard work and dedication will eventually help you learn to play your instrument with confendence and skill.
