About JOHN
I have been a working actor for over 35 years. I started doing off-off Broadway in the 1970's and worked my way to Broadway, TV and film. I have developed a acting technique based on the Stanislovski approach. What does that mean? It means laying the foundation of why your character says what what it says and why your character does what he does. If done correctly will lead to a full characterization that is real and full. While I do not have formal training as an actor , I have studied with some of the best acting teachers in New York such as Frank Corsaro, who was the head of the famous Actors Studio. I have also worked with great directors and have done much live theater and films and television in New York and Los Angeles.

First of all, a full understanding of the material. Then , what is the character's objective, what is it trying to achieve ? Where is the character coming from? Once the foundation is set then the actor can portray the character without seeming to be acting. The actor draws on their personnel experiences and imagination to portray a multi dimensional real person.
