About Gerard
I hold a BA in Communications and Growth Environments (Psychology of Learning) and an MA in Directing. I have performed in seven states and Canada, and teach performance classes at Concordia University and Henry Ford College, including Acting I-IV, Improvisation, Voice for the Actor, Shakesperean Performance and Movement for the Actor. I have directed Shakespeare, musicals, theatre for the young, period and contemporary comedy and drama. I have worked under two National Endowment for the Arts Grants.
I began teaching about 35 years ago when I was not touring. Since I obtained my MA, I spend most of my time teaching and directing, but still do occasional performance work.
I have a BA in Communications and Growth Environments (the psychology of learning), and an MA in Directing for the stage. I studied movement with Marcel Marceau, and voice for the actor with Elizabeth Wiseman, formerly of the Theatre du Soliel, Paris, France. I also did part of my undergrad training at the Cockpit Theatre in London, England. I have performed in seven states, and a bit in Canada. My training and work has encompassed contemporary drama and comedy, period pieces, Shakespeare, the musical, theatre for the young and experimental work.

Because acting is such a personal process, I like to get to know each student's experience and goals. Then we formulate a plan for how to approach the lessons. The more feedback you can give me about how the process is working for you, the more personalized the instruction can be.
I have taught children's theatre classes, undergrad acting students, as well as older students. I have taught in adult foster care, college and university, programs for young actors and tutorial settings.
Find someone who has the experience you need to guide you through the sometimes complex process of creating an effective character without neglecting good external vocal and movement technique.
Work with someone you think will be able to move you forward.
I like to spend some of my time off alone, and enjoy reading in the sunshine, surrounded by nature.

Great teacher
Professor Dzuiblinski has a heart and mind for teaching students. His wealth of knowledge concerning the arts is incredible. I am a working actor in NYC with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from a prestigious acting program and I have still never met a teacher with as much dedication and knowledge as Professor Dzuiblinski. His approach to performing arts is one that fosters individual growth in not only the technical aspects of stagecraft, but in the growth of the individual as an artist. I studied with Professor Dzuiblinski for three years when I was younger and still keep in contact with him. He was and still is a mentor to me. His guidance has been instrumental in my career as a professional actor!
Gerry was my teacher for 3 years. His knowledge and, ability to convey that knowledge, has helped me greatly in my career as an actor and performer. No matter what questions I had, Gerry always had the time and ability to answer it. I would not be where I am today without his help.

If you come to me, I charge $25 for 30 minutes, and $35 for 45 minutes. If I have to drive to you, there is an extra charge of $15.
