Amelia’s lessons were not only incredibly enjoyable, but also challenging, insightful, and, most importantly, effective. Her blend of using different acting techniques showed her own training, and there was something magical in her sharing that knowledge, as if she was imparting secrets to her students. It was exciting. She also wasn’t one to be taken lightly, as she demanded proper decorum from each one of us, and would call us out if necessary. All right in all, she is one of my favorite people I have made theatre with, and I hope I get to do it again someday.

What I loved about working with Amelia is her urge to approach material differently and to continuously develop new ideas, make them sharper or extend them. I had the pleasure of working with her in Godspell for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in which I enjoyed the experience very much and was able to work with her collaboratively.

She encouraged me to take risks with pride and to never be afraid of failure but to embrace it and learn from it.
