About Rebecca
I believe that every student has their own unique learning style. There are no two students that learn in the same way, so once we have discovered what your learning style is, then it will come naturally. When students obtain instruction in the technique and method that works best for them, they are more likely to retain the knowledge and utilize it in real-world situations. In addition, learning according to their own personal style makes the process fun!
The best part for me is seeing the excitement when students achieve a goal which they thought wasn’t attainable. The pure joy, excitement, and confidence that come along with the positive results is what makes it gratifying.
I grew up in a family of educators, so I was always around children and teachers. I would volunteer during the summers in High School and help tutor grades 1-5. When I had my first child, I notice that he had developed testing anxiety from an early age, so I decided that I wanted to take matters into my own hands and help him process through these feelings and make learning fun for him. Well, the rest has been history, I haven't stopped teaching since then.
I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and currently completing my Masters of Science in Information Technology.
I have homeschooled my children for over 12 years, from Grades 2 to 12. In addition, I did an apprenticeship with a private school for 4 years where I learned how to engage and teach children with LD.

I started using Rebecca's services last year for my 1st grader, who is now in the 2nd grade, and the results have been amazing. He is now reading at a 3-4 grade level and his confidence in his reading ability has skyrocket.
