About
My name is Alex Smith, and I am a resident of Tulsa who has been deaf since birth. My first language is American Sign Language. Throughout the years, I have actively participated in the Oklahoma Deaf Community and served as a co-leader for Oklahoma Deaf Outdoor Enthusiasts. This community has significantly impacted my life, enabling me to connect with deaf individuals from various backgrounds across the U.S. and providing opportunities to improve my ASL skills. I have been the ASL Lab Coordinator at the local college for 3 years and an ASL tutor for 8 years, and I look forward to meeting everyone.
I offer tutoring in ASL, VGC, fingerspelling, ASL Literature, and related topics. My main goal is to help students develop their receptive and expressive skills and become more proficient in ASL. I am eager to meet with you and support your journey in learning ASL.
