About Avanna
One part of the job that makes me satisfied is when students finally achieve a goal they have been constantly struggling with. To help students achieve a goal, I would use different examples, draw out words, and dive deep into the actual problem to allow students to get where they want to be. I typically teach English, American Sign Language, basic math skills, reading, writing, and human anatomy.
I have experience tutoring friends and other students in countless subjects ranging from elementary school level to high school level.
I have many accomplishments, all of which include being inducted into the American Sign Language Honor Society in high school, the English Honor Society, and Psi Chi (psychology honor society) in College. Along with those achievements, I have also been awarded four scholarships during my college career.
As much as I enjoy learning new things, I enjoy teaching others new things just as much, if not more. Learning and knowledge is a gift no one can take away from you and I confidently believe that portaying that knowledge helps one to be successful in life. I definitely have a passion for teaching others and I love watching those excel in what they stuggle with.
