About Alyssa
As a Psychology student at the University of New South Wales, I am passionate about supporting young people to reach their full academic and personal potential. With experience in both English tutoring and behavioral therapy, I bring a strong understanding of how students learn, think, and stay motivated. My approach to tutoring is highly individualised and student-centered. I tailor each lesson to meet the student’s unique learning style, goals, and areas for improvement. Lessons are typically conducted online, offering flexibility and accessibility for students with varying schedules. The length of each session can vary depending on the student’s needs, upcoming deadlines, and workload — I’m very flexible to ensure the best support possible.
With experience in English tutoring and a background in behavioural therapy, I combine evidence-based strategies with empathy and patience to help students stay motivated, confident, and engaged. I focus on building not just academic skills, but also self-belief and independent learning habits.
My lessons are designed for high school students aiming to strengthen their English skills — from essay writing and textual analysis to exam preparation and oral expression. Each class encourages progress at the student’s own pace while making learning enjoyable and rewarding.
