About Gay
My project based approach allows for an immersive experience where critical thinking, literacy, and fluency synthesize. Curated and individualized, each lesson plan capitalizes on museum resources and research methods. Students achieve deeper foundational knowledge as we connect the past to the present and bring all subjects to life as we take a deep dive and closer look as we explore artifacts, primary sources, art, and culture.
A combination of in person, remote, and site specific sessions scaled to meet the needs of students elementary level through college and beyond: AP Art History, World History.
I hold a M.S. Ed in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education, B.A. in Art History from Bard College.
I enjoy every aspect of being an educator, from creating curriculum and programming for msueums to engaging my students in a deep dive that leads to that "AHA" moment.
I also enjoy learning alongside my students. I am always inspired by their curiosity and fesh perpsepctive. It helps keep hisotry fresh!

Let's set up a time to meet via zoom or google meet. It's a complimentary session where we can discuss/ assess immediate goals as a basis for a throughtful action plan tailored to meet the student's academic goals.
We will begin our first session discussing/ reviewing relevant school assignments. Students should provide current graded and non graded work.
Range of ages: 4- Adult
Look for a sense of humor. Learning is supposed to be fun!
