About Max
To teach flying, and the theory that goes along with it, you have to be part teacher and part psychologist. Over the years I've refined both skills. I adapt to my students' way of learning, and accommodate their needs any way I can, even by teaching on line when the student cannot meet with me. I fly both airplanes and helicopters, and am a certified Light Sport Trike instructor as well.
I'm also a General Aviation business consultant. My focus is mainly flight training schools & academies, charter operations, fixed base operations, aircraft sales, management, and manufacturing. You can look for me on Linkedin.com for more information. I hope to meet you soon.
I'm a flight instructor mainly out of love for the art. I love teaching, and the biggest kick I get out of it, is seeing my teaching come together when my student solos for the first time. Find me at (concealed information) .
I was an owner and managing partner of a big flight school in Southern California for eight years.
30 years being a pilot. 20 years of being an instructor. 6 FAA licenses and ratings. 20 years experience as an Aviation industry consultant.

Find your personal fit. 80% of your training will be influenced by how you and your instructor fit together.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What makes aircraft fly is not just LIFT. First and foremost it's MONEY! Make sure you have a well thought out budget of time and money before you start. Starting a flight course, and not being able to see it through to the end, is a heart breaking waste of money and time. Ask yourself before starting this endevour if you have the time and freedom to finish the course, and will the amount of money at your disposal be available and ready.

I have Nothing but good things to say so far. Friendly, organized and informative
Max has been an intergral part in my choice to persue a career as a pilot.
I first met him in June 2006 when I was still deciding which flight school to attend for my training and was given an honest and upfront timeline for that training. I have to say everything has occurred for me on that timeline and Max has been a great mentor throughout the two years I have spent achieving my commercial license and instructor ratings.
I hope to continue the working relationship throughout my aviation career. There is no one I trust like Max. Not only is he my flight instructor, but his knowledge of the aviation world is second to none. He assisted me in finding the Sirrus SR-22 I bought for a great deal and he continues to oversee the required maintenance on my plane. I would recommend Max's services to anyone without hesitation.
Max is an outstanding pilot and teacher of both fixed wing and helicopters. I've flown with Max on multiple occassions and have learned what a professional and nice person he is. If you're going to fly, Max is the guy you want to fly with.

My standard instruction fee is $90 an hour. Aircraft rental, and other costs are paid by the student directly to the supplier. I do not ask for any deposits. You pay as you go with me. This leaves you the freedom to manage your budget and time without having to take out loans. If you want to take out a student loan though, let me know, and I will arrange it for you.
