About Rija
Hi I'm Rija, a 24 year old masters of public health graduate. I am very knowledgable and passionate about science, and I love working with kids! I like to make science topics enjoyable and fun, so everyone at all levels can understand. I currently work as a behavioral therapist for special needs kids and I hope to one day become a pediatric dentist.
I am very passionate about helping others and really expanding a student's scope of understanding on complex topics.
I grew up with two younger brothers, so for most of my life I have been helping them with school work and topics that they did not understand.
I recently graduated with my masters in public healh where I took classes on epidemiology, biostatistics and health policy. In my undergrand, I majored in public health and neuroscience. I am very knowledgable on science topics such as cellular biology, biochemistry, genetics, cellular physiology, general chemistry, and organc chemistry.

Every student is different, so I make sure to try and understand that student's learning style. After I figure that out, I like to make topics fun and enjoyable by teaching it in a way that they can remember.
I currently work with special needs students, which require a lot of patience and understanding. Every student is diferent, so it is important to tailor each lesson to their needs.
I would advise the student to look for teacher who has recently graduated or still in school, since the topics are still very fresh in their mind. Also, it helps if the teacher is currently reviewing the topic themselves by studying for a standarized test, like myself (medical admissons test, dental admissions test).
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should help a teacher understand what topics they are struggling in. This would help the teacher know areas of improvement and what to focus on.
