I have been training circus for over 10 years. I love performing and am just as passionate about coaching. It makes me happy to be able to share circus with others, one of the reasons i love circus arts is because it's for everybody there are no limits. Circus is a great practice for mind,body,spirit. It increases body awareness and teaches you to live outside the box. It also a great release for both physical & mental. The last thing I love about it is you also get in a super great work out while having a fun time. The circus community is full of wonderful people who will be happy to meet you. Most people get turned away because they think they aren't strong or flexible enough but i promise you are more than capable, you have to practice in order to become flexible & strong! I have worked with all kinds of students. I have taught people who know nothing about circus and have done nothing active before and I have also taught advanced circus artists. Ofcourse, I also have taught the people in between, I love working with all kinds of students and watching them make progress. If you are a begginer i'd love to start this journey with you :)
To find a good circus teacher I would do lots of research and decide what exactly you are interested in learning. I would also sit down and decide what you want in a coach as far as qualities. I personally learn best with coaches who are positive and encouraging but everybody is different.
There are flow artists who go out to the lighthouse in Santa Cruz on Sunday nights to spin fire & leds. It's such a fun time and completely free!

Never done anything like this before. Learned a lot & the teacher explained how modern day circus is very different than traditional circus, i had no idea there were different kinds of circus. 10/10 👍🏻
I have a little bit of gymnastics experience from when i was a kid and wanted to do some stretching. By the end of my first lesson I had learned an entire stretching routine and multiple bridge variations! Definitely get more that your dollars worth and my teacher Kylie made me feel comfortable the entire time. I’m looking forward to taking more lessons when I am back in Santa Cruz
