About Dancemasters Studio
We have been teaching Dallas to dance since 1984. Our instructors enjoy working with students of all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, in all styles of partner dancing including salsa, waltz, tango, swing, two-step and many more. We also enjoy helping wedding couples prepare for their big day with wedding dance lessons. We are specialists in teaching beginners, even if you have two left feet! Our instructors are skilled in helping people learn to dance for their very first time and will help you learn the fundamentals of partner dancing to make your lessons fun, fast, and easy!
Ann Michelle began dancing at the age of 2, and has always loved the art and freedom of expression in dance. Gary has been teaching ballroom dance for over 9 years, and became dance partners with Ann Michelle in 2016. We found an opportunity to pass along our love of dancing by owning a studio, and now love helping others to experience the joy of dancing too!
Our dance instructors are experienced professionals and receive ongoing dance training and coaching, and are actively-competing and award-winning professionals in the ballroom dance community. They are also personable, friendly, helpful, and take a genuine interest in you and your dancing goals.

We want to make sure to establish a great working relationship with all new students. That's why we offer a New Student Special at a discounted rate of $39 for the first 3 private lessons. During these first lessons, your Instructor will determine your pace of learning and your goals, and be able to recommend several options for you to continue your journey in ballroom dancing. We are specialists in teaching beginners, even if you have 2 left feet! Our instructors are skilled in helping people learn to dance for their very first time, and will help you learn the fundamentals of partner dancing to make your lessons fun, fast, and easy!
We have worked with a diverse group of students over the years. We work with all skill levels from beginners to advanced. We love working with beginners because we enjoy that moment when they realize they can dance! Wedding couples are also a joy to work with because we can help them create the wedding dance of their dreams.
We realize that everyone learns in different ways, for example, visual, auditory, kinethetic. Try to find an Instructor who has the ability to tailor his/her teaching methods to your unique style of learning. Having fun in your lessons while learning is the goal!
Twice a year (Winter and Spring) we host a Performance Showcase in our studio, where students and professionals perform for a crowd of about 125 people gathered in our studio. Students and their Instructors work for several months in preparation for this event. Along with 25-30 or more performances, we enjoy general dancing for all spectators as well. It is always a beautiful event we look forward to.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
We like to think of learning to dance as a journey rather than a destination. We believe you never stop learning as you grow in your dancing. Our advice to new students is to be patient with yourself and allow yourself to fail miserably in order to succeed greatly!

Details
We offer several group classes every week. Drop in rate for group classes are $15 per class. We also offer private lessons, which allow students to receive individualized instruction one on one with your instructor. The cost for private lessons is higher than for groups, however we offer customized lesson packages that will work for any budget. Our instructors will work with you to come up with a plan that works for you!
