About Eric
Eric Bossik
Classical Painter and Draftsman
Eric Bossik is an accomplished artist who combines the vitality of the 21st century with the virtuosity of an 18th century master.
He has exhibited at the Albertson Peterson Gallery in Winter Park, Florida, the Coe Kerr and Master Eagle galleries in New York City, the Grand Armée Gallery in Palm Beach, Florida, the Images Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida and the Linda White Gallery in Delray Beach, Florida.
Eric’s paintings and drawings have also been exhibited at the American International Fine Art Fair (AIFAF) in West Palm Beach, the Society of Illustrators, the Salmagundi Art Club, the Art Director’s Club of New York, the Heckscher Museum, the Roslyn Fine Arts Museum, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach, Florida and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
His work has won the Outstanding Pastel award in the Bold Brush Painting Competition, the HTAL award of excellence at the Heckscher Museum and a Grumbacher award for portraiture. Eric was a recipient of an AAPL Grand National Award for oil painting. His still life art was showcased in the Armory Art Center 20/20 juried exhibition in Palm Beach, Florida. Two of Eric’s oil paintings were exhibited at the Boca Raton Museum of Art’s 57th Annual All Florida Juried Competition and Exhibition.
Military history paintings by Eric are featured on the covers of The Harper Encyclopedia of Military Biography and From Sea to Shining Sea, a military history of early America published by Harper Collins.
As a staff mural artist for Mode Works and Evergreene Studios, Eric has painted murals for numerous clients, including Planet Hollywood, as well as trompe l’oeil for the Beau Rivage casino in Mississippi.
Eric is a staff instructor at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, Florida where he teaches drawing and oil painting. He is the owner of the Bossik Academy of Fine Art, a South Florida private art school where he teaches beginner and advanced art students the classical methods and techniques of the old masters.
Eric is the author of the instructional oil painting e-book, How to Create an Underpainting Like the Old Masters: A Step-By-Step Guide. He is featured in the instructional art video, Underpainting Secrets for Artists based on his e-book. He produced Drawing Lesson For Beginners, an instructional video drawing course.
He got his formal training at the School of Visual Arts, where he received a BFA. And he advanced his studies with John Frederick Murray, a fine artist whose instructional lineage can be traced back to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and old master artist Jacques Louis David.
Eric paints commissioned portraits of adults, children and pets, as well as murals, trompe l’oeil, still life and figurative art.
I enjoy teaching both beginning and more advanced art students. I've been teaching art for over 14 years. I have taught hundreds of art students in schools, privately and with instructional art book's and video's I've produced. I started teaching at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, FL. I taught drawing and painting classes at the Armory for 10 years.
I received my B.F.A at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I then studied classical methods for drawing and painting privately.

I teach classical methods of painting and drawing. I teach beginning students how to draw and paint from life. Students will be provided with a list of art materials to purchase. I do many demonstrations and I explain everything step-by-step.
I work with beginner, intermediate and advanced art students. I teach students of all age groups.
Only take classes from an art teacher that is willing to do demonstrations. If they can't demonstrate than they can't teach.

Details
I charge $60 per hour for private drawing and painting lessons. 3 hours minimum per class ($180).
If you pay for 4 three hour classes the price is $600. You save $120.
If you pay for 8 three hour classes the price is $960. You save $480
