About Katie
I have always adored the arts from a young age and even now I continue to work on making progress because I believe as an artist I should be consistently changing and finding new ways to create. I also have a passion for teaching and helping others learn not only the correct techniques for painting but also how to express their feelings and personality through their work.
One of my favorite things about painting is that anyone can do it and anyone can gradually become a great painter under the right guidance and teaching. Painting pushes you to do better and to always improve your skills, but in a way that is challenging and also fun.
I have taken many years of art classes and I practice painting as a hobby constantly. I would consider myself to be an expert

First we would start by discussing their goals and where they would like to be with their art by the end of the course, we then isolate mediums and forms that resonate with the student. We work together to come up with themes or ideas and then begin some concept sketches. Once we have a good idea of the shapes and colors we want to include, I step back and allow the student space to work on their project while I give advice and notes.
