About Merideth
I love diving into the world of Reading and Writing! I had a passion for reading books as a small child and it has continued to grow into adulthood. I adore the mechanics of literature and helping children expand their literature knowledge.

I started teaching in the Spring of 2019. I've always had a passion for working with young children and I wanted to make a career from it.

My typical process is that I assess what the child's needs are and having a one-on-one conversation with the guardian of the child and the child themselves (if applicable).
I have worked with high school students of varying abilities (LD to self-contained classroom). I have worked with middle school students needing ELA intervention services. I have worked with elementary students (K-2) with varying subjects. I have worked with PreK students (inclusive to self-contained classroom).
Make sure that you feel comfortable with the teacher/tutor. Ask any question that you feel is important and neccessary.
I am most proud of seeing my middle school students achieve progress in their STAR reading scores. I have had several students show me their increased Lexile range and grade equivalent score as well.
