About Rowena
Hello! My name is Rowena, I am a CELTA-certified English Teacher who graduated in linguistic and cultural mediation with a degree thesis in English Literature. I am passionate about teaching with creativity and encouraging learners to cultivate their potential.
I’m a young English teacher with more than 7 years of experience in teaching Young Learners and adults. I obtained my CELTA certificate a year ago and since then I have been teaching in several classes (groups and individuals).
As a former student myself, I know the struggle of learning a new language and the obstacles you may face. Kindness and creativity are the foundation of my teaching method. I can help you build confidence in speaking a new language and explore the amazing possibilities that this could offer you.
My lessons are a safe space for students with learning difficulties or anxiety issues, together we will work on your skills and potential to reach your goal. I am here to help you along your learning path, not to judge you or make it hard for you.
I think that curiosity is a powerful driving force in learning and that a new language is an invaluable tool for personal and cultural growth. My interests revolve around humanities (especially art and literature) and education (inclusivity and personalization).
