I typically speak with parents intially and arrange a meeting. I think it's important to get to know students first before I work with them, so I'll ask them questions about themselves. Then I'll take a look at some of their work, test scores, etc. to take stock of where they are at. Then I devise a plan with parents as to how I can best help their child succeed.

Kimberly is a supportive, down-to-earth tutor who helped & encouraged our daughter through a very challenging time. Her experience as a former classroom teacher adds an extra layer of quality to her tutoring because she knows what teachers look for when grading and can help students produce work to meet those expectations. Kimberly positively guided our daughter to develop organization skills to get and stay on top of her workload making it easier for our daughter to get her homework done with less stress and in a way that allowed her academic potential to shine.
My daughter really struggles with math. I have tried and tried to help her but as her parent, the only thing that comes of it are tears from the both of us. So i decided to get a tutor, and Kim was an excellent find! She gets right to it and has a way to help my daughter understand. She has received very low grades on all her tests so far this year. Just after 2 weeks with Kim she got an 86% on her last math test. I wish i had started sooner in the year. Would definitely recommend.
