About Julia
Being a recent high school graduate and college student, I understand the pitfalls and advantages of 21st century learning. I also have mastered how to determine what educators are looking for and how to not only meet but exceed expectations.
I love to see the confidence and motivation that comes from student success. Everyone is capable of excelling in the classroom and sometimes all it takes is a bit of reassurance whether that is from a teacher's praise or a grade on a paper.
I am a college student who took several A.P. courses in high school, all of which required different comprehension and writing skills. I have tutored locally in the past at both elementary and secondary levels.

I like to first and foremost figure out a student's learning style. Many students fall behind simply based on the way they are being taught in the classroom. Once a student's learning style is identified, it is easier to determine their strengths and weaknesses and improve overall.
I have worked with all types of students from those in honors and AP classes to students in basic courses and have an IEP.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It is important for a student to understand when they need help or when they just need a little motivation. I have seen cases of both and am ready to help in any way.
