About Allyson
Hello! I have taught children and teens of all ages with a fun, structure style to learning! I have my Masters degree in Education, and currently teach children in China how to read, write, and speak English. I also teach Ballet-style dance at night! I enjoy getting the students excited about learning and coming up with new ways to keep them actively engaged. I have a motto in teaching...."if I am bored, they are bored". Let's keep learning fun!
Teaching and tutoring have so many positives involved with the job. I enjoy watching the students learn and get that "ah ha" moment! So much fun to watch them progress and grow in confidence.
I started as a speech/language pathology assistant, then realized teaching was my passion. I went back to school and got my Masters in Education and started to teach full time soon after.
I have a Masters in Education and have worked in the field for over 10 years.

I like to have introductions and build repor, before we start. Then I like to guage what level the student is on and try to figure out what is their own personal learning style.
I have worked with a variety of ages and levels. From students in the "gifted" program to those who have Special Needs.
