About Daisy
I am a current law student with an undergraduate degree in English Writing. I have extensive experience with tutoring as well as college preparation (ACT, Essay Writing, LSAT, etc).
I have been teaching/tutoring students for most of my life. I am the oldest of five kids. Growing up, my family owned and operated a small business. With my parents often busy, I always felt inclined to help my siblings with their homework. After I started high school, and into college, this inclination turned into something a little more serious, and I found myself volunteering in educational settings. Eventually, I became a fellow with the Southern Education Foundation, and after that, was accepted to Teach for America (an opportunity I turned down to attend law school).
I am a current law student, and my undergraduate degree is in English Writing. As such, I have extensive experience navigating the education system whether it be high school, college, or graduate schools.

Typically, I prefer to start by talking to the student about strengths, weaknesses, and goals. For me, it is really important to establish a relationship with the student I am tutoring as well as determine what steps we will use to reach his/her goals.
I have worked with students from various back grounds.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think through their goals. It is very easy to get carried away with a goal that is unrealistic for a student. In my opinion, students need to think through what they want in terms of ACT scores, grades, etc. After that, I believe it is important for those students to determine how hard they are willing to work to reach that said goal.
