About Becky
Hello Families! My name is Becky and I am an elementary school teacher, and current graduate student, interested in providing tutoring support for elementary-age students. I have teaching experience in K-5th grade and am earning my Reading Specialist certificate in my last semester of graduate school. I have the most experience in reading, but I am also happy to help with the other elementary subjects.

I have been a classroom teacher for 3rd and 4th grade, an intervention aide for K-2, and a substitute teacher for K-5. I am currently in my last semester of graduate school, earning my Reading Specialist certification.

When I start working with a new student, the first session or two is all about getting to know each other and conducting initial assessments to determine which areas of learning need to be targeted. After assessments are complete, we can start with lessons directly relating to the highest areas of need. I try to make lessons as interactive and engaging for students as possible, and account for student interests in text selection and topics.
I have worked with all elementary-level students, including students with IEPs.
