About Lauren
As much as I love accents, I understand the challenges that can arise, especially in a professional environment, when differing accents or dialects interrupt fluid communication. As a lifelong language learner and teacher, I have developed a class that focuses on each student's individual challenges and needs in order to break down these language barriers.
I have been an Educator for over 13 years, specializing in ESL for the last 2 years. I am TESOL/ TEFL certified.
Spanish is my second language and I speak it quite fluently. I am also learning various other Latin, Sanskrit, and Dravidian languages. As a person who has learned other languages as an adult, I understand challenges to mastering a second language, and it's accent and cannot wait to share these techniques with you!
I love people and appreciate the variety of languages and cultures that unfortunately currently divide us. I view language learning an exciting task which, not only tears down these divides, but teaches us priceless lifelong lessons about ourselves and each other along the way. I want to share this priceless experience with everyone. When I help others to master a target language, it brings me great satisfaction knowing that I have imparted useful tips and techniques that he or she will use for a lifetime.
