About Nikita
My name is Nikita and I've been in Education for almost a decade. I began my teaching career in 2014 with a degree in Criminal Justice, teaching middle school English Language Arts and Civics and Social Studies. I enjoyed the craft so much that I decided to pursue a Master's in Education (Specializing in Standards Based English Instruction), and eventually graduated with distinction in 2018. I was awarded teacher of the year for school year 2019-2020, and decided to transition into a role that would allow me to make a greater impact in education, and in 2020, I became Assistant Principal for the same school. I continued my work in the classroom at the post-secondary level by serving as an adjunct instructor for the Northern Marianas College, where I taught hybrid courses for Introduction to Literature and Introduction to Communications intermittently. The thing that has always attracted me to the classroom and the art of teaching is the passion I have for helping others. I strongly believe that, when you have a genuine care about the individuals you are teaching, you are bound to make a greater impact than most.
