I take the task of developing young people into kind, thoughtful and contributing adults very seriously. I try to create a place where teamwork and empathy are rewarded just as enthusiastically as a good test score. I hope that I can make that same kind of positive impact on the minds and hearts of my students.

My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I don’t lecture to students or ask them to memorise things. Nor do I do the students’ homework for them!
