Henrique is a great tutor. He is very common understanding and I would recommend him to anybody looking to learn a new language. I have been with him for over two years now as I continue to advance.

I've been learning Portuguese with Henrique for over two years now, and I've made a lot of progress really quickly. He's a great teacher, friendly, kind, easy to talk to, and always adapts to his student’s needs.

I recommend Henrique as a Portuguese teacher because I already finished my Bachelor's degree in Portuguese Language and Literature and was doing my Master's when he helped me to improve my level and correct the mistakes that I was doing during my 6 years of studying the language. He was very useful and he explained the rules somehow on the concrete cases. Henrique is also very fun and extremely smart, this way being able to have nice conversations in different topics with the students.

I started taking classes with Henrique a few weeks ago and am very happy that I stumbled upon his profile. In the first lesson, he did a proper assessment of my current knowledge / capabilities and asked me about my personal goals. He then prepared a tailored plan to help me reach those goals (including speaking, writing, grammar, pronunciation, etc.) and since then, I feel as though i've learned and absorbed new things in every class. The classes are quite enjoyable and something i look forward to. Henrique is very patient, knowledgeable and really good at explaining new/challenging concepts and words in a way that makes sense. I'm excited to continuing learning from him!

Update: A few years later and Henrique is still the best portuguese teacher you can find. I've become a much more confident speaker and my listening is significantly better than it was. Our classes are now 99% in Portuguese which is AMAZING.... I would never have gotten to where I am without his patience, teaching method, and overall knowledge / ability to explain things to me. I would recommend him to anyone hoping to learn, at any level. And I will be continuing with him until I am 100% fluent!

Henrique is an amazing tutor! He takes a proper assessment so he can customize the classes for your level and your goals. I've been learning Portuguese for the past few years but have been feeling stuck. In just a few short weeks working with Henrique I can already see a huge improvement!
