About Kiley
As a Speech Language Pathologist, I am uniquely trained in the way the speech mechanism works and the way sounds work together in a language.
While no accent or dialect is wrong or considered a communication disorder, some may choose to adopt features of the mainstream American English Dialect. This is the dialect with which I am most familiar, but I am able to provide assistance with learning features of any English dialect.
I love working with others to help them meet their communication goals. Achievement, relationships, and public perception are often heavily influenced by the way a person speaks. I am passionate about helping my students to be successful with their communication.
I have a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Ouachita Baptist University. I am certified clinically competent by the American Speech and Hearing Association and licensed to provide speech therapy in the state of Texas. I am also a member of the Texas Speech and Hearing Association.
I have 7 years of experience providing speech therapy in a public school setting and an additional 3 years providing therapy for children and adults in graduate and undergraduate clinical settings. I gained experience providing accent modification services for adults in my graduate clinic.
